Position Overview
Trend Personnel Services is conducting a confidential search for an experienced HR Specialist for a growing organization in Rockwall, TX.
This position is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys variety and has experience supporting multiple business units, locations, or employee groups. The HR Specialist will provide hands-on support across employee relations, compliance, benefits, leave administration, HR policies, onboarding, and other day-to-day human resources functions.
The ideal candidate will hold a PHR or SHRM-CP certification and be comfortable working directly with both employees and business leaders to provide practical, responsive HR guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to employees, managers, and business leaders
Support HR needs across multiple employee populations and business environments
Advise managers regarding employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and appropriate documentation
Assist with benefits administration and employee benefits questions
Administer and track FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other employee leave matters
Coordinate onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding processes
Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
Assist with handbook and policy updates and implementation
Help ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information
Research and respond to HR-related questions involving policies, compliance, and employee situations
Partner with internal teams and leadership to resolve HR issues in a timely and professional manner
Assist with HR projects and additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
PHR or SHRM-CP certification required
3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
Hands-on experience with employee relations and performance management
Experience with benefits, leave administration, workers' compensation, and general HR operations
Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or employee populations is a plus
Experience working within an HRIS or HR technology platform
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to a variety of HR situations
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Comfortable communicating with employees and leadership at all levels
